The seeds of love and faith were brought together and the prominent thoughts of an affectionate and compassionate master were put into practice so that “Nava-ye-Del Yoga Institute” becomes the fertile field for spiritual growth and mindfulness, like a pearl in the heart of a roaring sea.

Today, our wise deceased master, Dr. Abbas Roohbakhsh, the founder of Nava Institute, is no longer amongst us. Nonetheless, with the efforts of his dedicated disciples, the melodic tone (Nava) continues to be heard from the capital, north and south of the country. The latest branch of Nava was established on 31st of Shahrivar 1391 (21st of September 2012) in Pasdaran Street, Tehran, to follow the same pathway and to spread the mentality and ideology of our beloved yoga guru.

Today, Nava welcomes, with modesty and determination, the learners who want to grow a fresh perspective over life and who want to purify their hearts and minds.

Our utmost priority at Nava is to teach yoga in a professional manner, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and our neat, well-lighted and well-equipped classes. Wearing a smile, which has risen from within, we promise our learners a peaceful and unforgettable experience to clear off the exhaustion and stresses of urban life from their mind and body.

It is undeniable that stress has become an integral part of the daily life nowadays. Living in a metropolis like Tehran, we all face the burden and the boredom. And not so many of us have the opportunity to get away to retrieve the inner peace and to let go of all worries and concerns for a while. We are honored to say that we have, to a great extent, succeeded in providing such opportunity in our institute. Yoga knows no discrimination when it comes to learners’ background, ethnicity, and beliefs. Everyone can join. Everyone can benefit.

Our timetable is set with the necessary considerations and flexibility so that all of our learners can take part and benefit from our courses, regardless of their occupation and for a reasonable price.

Nava’s approach to yoga is Iyengar Yoga, which is one of the physically active styles of yoga. In our courses learners are trained to use the standard tools and facilities under the supervision of our experienced teachers. However, for those who seek courses with lighter physical activities, other options and styles are also available.

In our institute, we offer a wide range of courses for different age groups. We have allocated a day to children, between the age of 3 and 15 and also a day to moms-to-be to practice pregnancy yoga and make sure of the health of themselves, as well as that of their babies. We also have medical yoga solutions for those with physical disabilities.

Yoga is a means for training the mind and body simultaneously, to the point that they become united. Therefore, yoga empowers us with the essential knowledge of distinguishing and differentiating to decide for our major life goals confidently.
